Over a year ago I replaced my old (Canon) 28-105 f/3.5-4.5 USM with the 24-70 f/4 L IS USM. That was not for better image quality, but for IS and the powerful macro feature. Just recently I bought the 16-35 f/4 IS USM. It is absolutely superb, probably the best lens I have ever owned (and that includes some of fine Leica's finest).
