I'd like to share some images from the Canon EF-S 55-250mm f4-5.6 IS STM, my favorite and most-used lens on the Canon M6 Mark II. It's an excellent performer: quite sharp at all focal lengths across the frame, especially when images are initially processed with Canon DPP 4 for maximum sharpness.

I did the comparison between the R7 and R8 and found that R7 ISO 32k images looked the most similar to R8 ISO 100k images, about a 1-2/3 EV advantage for the R8. The lens instructions say to set the focus mode to MF "using the camera's (AF/MF) menu". But when I look in the EOS R6 camera manual it says to "use the AF/MF switch on the lens". But there is no AF/MF switch on the RF24-105mm STM lens. The only switch related to focus on the lens is labeled Focus/Control.

Although nearly 50 per cent heavier than the Canon EF-M 55-200mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM, the EF-S model adds an extra 50mm in telephoto length, with an overall zoom range that’s equivalent to 88-400mm in full-frame terms. Stopping down to f/4 results in a sharp image across the frame save the extreme full frame corners.
